ponsored by the Brain Injury Association of Washington, D.C. and MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital, this group meets on the third Wednesday of each month in the MedStar NRH TeleHealth Conference Room on the first floor. Connect with members of the DC area brain injury community and meet other families who are going through the same things you are. Hear from brain injury survivors and their families and learn about the resources that are available to help you.

Sibling Class

Welcoming a new baby into your home can be both exciting and scary for an older sibling. Our sibling class helps prepare children for this life-changing event.
Topics covered include:
-How it feels to become a big brother or sister-Age-appropriate discussions about the birth process
-What to expect from a new baby
-A visit to our Women’s Center and a peek-a-boo of the nursery
Big brother or sister will both receive a gift and create a gift for their new baby sibling Fee is $45 for parents and one child, plus $10 each additional child.

Class – Infant Massage

Cost: $100 per person; $125 per couple

In this hands-on class, parents will learn how to massage their babies to increase bonding, better sleep and help decrease colic and general discomfort due to gassiness. Each week of the series will focus on different strokes and parts of the body and handouts will be provided so you can practice at home too.

Payment is required in advance for class registration. Series is held the first 3 Thursdays (consecutive) of every month; cost is $100 for 3 classes. Private classes are also available in our office, your office, or your home.
